Ms A contacted Call a spade a spade for advice and support regarding the step to take concerning the father of her two children.
Ms A informed Call a spade a spade that she met her partner while she was in Nigeria and her partner was on a visit to Nigeria. According to her they both dated for sometime before Ms A. joined him here in London. They were both living together like a good couple and before long Ms A fell pregnant and had her first child and sooner after she had a boy also by the same man. Ms A partner goes out to work like any other man to earn his living.
However one day Ms A partner told her that he was travelling to the continent and would be back in few days. Something strange happened, Ms A called the father of her children on his mobile phone, who answered the phone? Of course another woman, not just an ordinary woman. The said woman claimed to be his legal wife who had four children by him both male and female.
According to the other woman in the continent, she reports that she got married to her husband some sixteen years ago while in Nigeria and that due to her husband’s immigration status, she decided to stay where she was and got married to him to legalise his papers. However, Ms A reports that she could not believe her stories but the woman in the continent promised to e-mail their traditional wedding pictures to Ms A.
According to Ms A’s explanation her partner returned back to London without the knowledge of what transpired between Ms A and the other woman. Ms A told Call a spade a spade that she kept the secret until she received the other woman’s e-mail. Ms A then approached the father of her children, who was shocked of the revelations, however an argument engulfed and Ms A’s partner walked out and never returned. Ms A contacted the other woman through e-mail and she was told to try and sort it out with the father of her children.
The said partner is now with his first wife in the continent but Ms A and her two children have been abandoned here in London. Ms A is left to look after the two children on her own. Receiving nothing towards the support and upkeep of the innocent children.
All efforts to speak to the father of Ms A’s children proved abortive as he does not wish to speak to us, however the first wife told Call a spade a spade that it’s a matter between the two of them and she has no say into the matter.
The Questions are:
(1.) Why did Ms A’s partner behave the way he did? Why did he lie to Ms A. that he was never married?
(2.) Should this man be exposed and punish for his unfaithful behaviour i.e. possibly to report him to child benefit agency?
(3.) What do we say/advise to other men that still believe their secret will never come out into the limelight?

Entitlement to Family Inheritance
Ms A told Call a spade a spade her ordeal and would like you our intelligent and wise listeners to please advise her on what step/s to take.
She narrated her life story how her parents had three of them and she being the eldest of her siblings but her Mother later separated from her Father who remarried another woman who bore two children.
This woman had two children from a previous relationship before marrying her Father.
Ms A told Call a spade a spade that her Father passed away in 2006 (3 years ago). She reported that her Dad was very wealthy, having 30 houses in Nigeria and sums of over 50 million naira in his account plus acquired lands before he died.
Ms A told Call a spade a spade that her step mother refused to share her Dad's wealth because there was no will written before her Dad died, however Ms A reported that she has being to court in Nigeria to fight her case on behalf of herself and her other siblings. She told us that she has spent so much money to hire solicitors but says her Stepmother is highly influential.
Ms A said that all she is asking for from this woman for her own side is 20 million naira only and 10 houses but states that her Stepmother told her after all she is in London and that is her own share from her Father’s wealth. Ms A said her step-mother used to be very nice to them when her father was alive but suddenly changed the minute her father died. She reports that when her Mum went to sympathise with her Stepmother on hearing about the death of her former husband, her Stepmother walked her mum out of her Father’s house.
Ms A told Call a spade a spade the case has being in the court since 2007 and remains unresolved. She reports that her Mum is currently unwell and told her not to proceed with the case. However Ms A feels this is an injustice and needs your advice as she is planning to write to the head of Nigeria judiciary to step in. She reports that her other siblings are now in this country as was advised by her own mother to run for their dear lives.
The Questions are;
(1) Should Ms A forget about this property and move on?
(2) Do we advise her to continue or write to head of our judiciary to intervene?
(3) What are your opinion and advise for Ms A?
